Fannie Stebbins Wildlife Refuge/Longmeadow, MA

Named after lifelong schoolteacher and naturalist, Fannie Stebbins spent her teaching career in Springfield educating the youth about science and nature-introducing a great many to the natural world and sparking a very important connection with animals and nature. She would go on to found the Allen Bird Club which was later instrumental in establishing this 330 acre river haven for birds and wildlife.
